In food production, creative ideas and innovative strength will more than ever determine tomorrow's market success. Continuous research, the bundling of know-how and concentrated development work with clear goals are the most important foundations for this. Novoprot offers this together with a network of strategic partners. Even before Novoprot was founded, managing director and biotechnologist Dr. Markus Veen created two other companies: the successful innovation forge Focus Ingredients GmbH and the laboratory specialist Focus Foodlabs GmbH. Together with the high-performance development department at our headquarters in Engelsberg, the trio forms a central building block for success.

Novoprot promotes innovations not only with a focus on raw materials and end products, but also in the technology area. In addition to an experienced development team, state-of-the-art laboratory equipment and the accredited laboratory in our group of companies, we have a modern production technology center at the Wiesmühl location, in which we can map our production processes on a small scale for test purposes:

  • Fermentation plants from 1 liter to 150 liters
  • Spray towers with 10 to 50 liters of water evaporation per hour
  • Drum dryer
  • Mill
  • Process vessels and cooking systems
  • Homogenizers
  • Evaporator

Our sister company Lactoprot GmbH rounds off the possibilities with a perfectly equipped technical center for milk, yoghurt and ice products. In addition to the respective innovation, the top priority in development is the naturalness and sustainability of the products.


How will we meet the requirements for our food, taste, consistency and product safety in the future? These and similar questions concern us at Novoprot. It is also undisputed that eating habits will change. The challenges facing the growing world population and climate protection issues are too great to which we have to provide answers. With creative ideas, innovative strength and future-oriented solutions, we support our customers in successfully shaping the food world of tomorrow.

TECHNICAL TRAINING

To explain our high-quality raw materials and innovative products as well as production processes to our customers and to train technologists, seminar rooms and an application technology center are available:

  • Cooking, smoking and ripening rooms
  • Stefan Cooker

We tailor our workshops to the specific wishes of our customers or invite larger groups to events in which we present the latest developments, for example in the field of natural preservation. We also use the training center to work on individual product solutions together with our customers. We accompany you from the individual raw material to the finished product.


Clean Label

The Novoprot Clean Label guarantees the use of natural ingredients - free of hydrogenated fats, genetic engineering, aromas and flavor enhancers.
